Sun Kil Moon Streams ‘Universal,’ Shares Interview With El-P

Mark Kozelek, aka Sun Kil Moon, will be putting out his seventh full-length record tomorrow, June 2, via Caldo Verde. Entitled Universal, the impending effort features Sonic Youth drummer and Benji (the 2014 LP) collaborator, Steve Shelley.

Kozelek unveiled the new record’s title track, “The Possum” in November of last year. Today the singer-songwriter is streaming all eight tracks from the new record over at his website.

In addition to streaming Universal, Kozelek also put up a new interview between him and hip-hop recording artist El-P. The interview contains a track-by-track discussion of Universal, which included questions about his writing and recording processes.
